Restoration
Nicolaas Witsenkade
Designed by Ed Cuypers, this unique example of Neo-Venetian architecture was built in 1891 as the mansion for Amsterdam diamond merchant, David Sanders. The mansion has since seen several different residents, after 1938, it became primarily for office use.
A large part of the interior is still in original state. Under the direction of Studio C, all ceilings, wall paintings and ornaments have been restored with great care. A spacious and bright office space is created on the ground floor where once a workshop stood.
